2022
Happy New Year, everyone! I, for one, am looking forward to this new year and what lies in the journey over the new twelve months. A new year gives us a chance to review some housekeeping items.
Parking Guidelines
The guidelines for the parking for professionals and clients are to park anywhere except the reserved spots in front of the buildings that have “reserved” painted on them during the weekday from the morning until 5:00 PM. After 5:00 PM on weekdays and the weekends, all the spots are open. Please pass this information on to your clients.
Mosaic Tiles
If you have not had an opportunity to decide on your 2022 Mosaic Tile please do so. The Sand filter seems to be a popular one. I would like to have everyone’s decision by the end of next week. For those who don’t make a decision, I will take artistic discretion and make one. If you don’t like it, I don’t care. Just kidding, but I will make a decision and if in the future you want to change it we can do that.
Website
If you haven’t registered on the website and would like to please get with me. The reason for registering is for two reasons. First, it will allow you to get notifications on your phone of communications I send out such as items I put in the group messages. You can respond to the messages without it sending the message to the entire group. Second, you can read past memorandums and announcements.
Communications
Please be sure to read the memos, announcements, etc… that I send out. I try to not inundate people with insignificant matters. If I am sending something out there’s a reason.
Hernia Surgery
I will be having bi-lateral hernia surgery on Feb. 7th. It is an outpatient surgery, but the first two weeks I will have to be judicial in my activities and lifting of items. Depending on the severity of the left side, I may be able to get back to biking after two weeks and lifting more than 10 pounds after four to six weeks. I will need some help around the building if anyone is interested.
Music and the Front Door
Just a quick tidbit about the music and the front door. First, I think upgrading to XM Sirius has been one of the best upgrades to the building. I have really enjoyed listening to the different genres that it offers and hope you’re all enjoying it as much as I am. If there’s a particular genre you like let me know and we see about getting it on. Second, if the music is on the front door’s auto lock feature is OFF. When the music is off, the front door auto lock feature is ON. The music signals to the professionals as to what is going on with the door. With that said, there are times when the app loses internet connectivity so it is not 100% and there could be times with the music off and the door’s auto lock is off. If it is getting late, I am gone, and/or there’s not many professionals still working, and the music is still on, please feel free to message me to let me know.
Inflation
You may have read that in December inflation was at an abnormally high rate of 7% which according to the Wall Street Journal was the highest since 1982. I have received news from companies I have purchased from that price hikes are coming. I am not sure how this is impacting hair care supplies, but everyone should be considering raising their rates to keep pace with rising costs.
Building Updates
We are currently discussing what we would like to do to the front of the building to increase its curb appeal. The grass seems to have trouble growing because of the storm water. My hernia surgery may change the plans somewhat, but I did want to let you know that we are planning to do something with the front.
