Greetings Everyone,

A few announcements to go over.  I sent out a memorandum regarding the deferred rent during COVID.  If you were here during the shutdown and haven’t read it please do so.  Also, I sent out an email and group text message last week about the changes coming to the way I send out communications.  If you haven’t seen the email please take a moment to read it and get setup on the website.  If you didn’t receive the email or you need help getting setup please let me know.  One of the features I am excited about is that it will allow for notifications to be sent out.  This will replace the group text message alerts.  To receive the notifications please download the app Wix Spaces.  After installing the app you can use the invite code CSIWHZ to get setup.  If you have trouble with the Wix App please get with me.  One question that was asked was how would this affect those professionals who didn’t want to be seen on the website.  The answer is that it won’t affect them at all as it is a different part of the site.  Registering doesn’t create a page where the professionals are listed for public viewing. However, to be able to see the communication online you will need to register.

Communications will be split up into a couple of different categories including Memorandums, Announcements, Maintenance and other categories.  Memorandums will be used for communicating more official business like policy updates or new policies.  Announcements will be used to communicate more day-to-day, less formal pieces of information. Maintenance will be used to communicate if there are upcoming maintenance items.

Each time a notification is sent out it will have a priority status assigned to it to help professionals differentiate the importance of the communication.  If the communication is a Maintenance one that only affects a part of the building, the communication will state which zone is affected.

The zones are as followed:

Zone 1 (westside) - Studios 101, 102, 103, 104, 105 and 119

Zone 2 (northside) - Studios 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 120, and 121

Zone 3 (eastside) - Studios 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 122, 123

Zone 4 (southside) - Studios 116, 117, 118, 124

Over the past few weeks I have learned some professionals will be leaving for other opportunities.  Studio 110 (Kim Jolly) and Studio 116 (Destiny Works) will be opening up in the first week of August and Studio 121 (Ashleigh Samuel) in September.  We are appreciative for the opportunity to have worked with each of these ladies and know they will do great in their new ventures.

If you’re interested in a bigger studio please let me know by July 18th.  For those who let me know, the professionals with the most seniority will be the ones who get the studio.

Changing gears, I received word that a guy came through the building a few weeks ago selling handbags.  I placed a no soliciting sign on the door years ago.  So please feel free to tell people who decide to come in uninvited to leave when they are soliciting.  About the only people who should be coming through the building are the beauty product reps and the people who sharpen scissors.

In August, Shanna and I will be visiting Utah.  I will be leaving on August 9th and Shanna on the 12th.  We both return on August 17th.  I will be racing in a triathlon in Park City on Saturday, August 14th.  I will need some help with the building that week.  If you are interested in helping please let me know.

I mentioned a couple of months ago that we would be having a celebration. Unfortunately, I haven’t made much progress in putting it together. We will still have one as soon as I can get it planned. Also, I have not forgotten about the lobby. I have been working on redesigning the lobby and trying to find chairs and table(s) that I think will look great and be durable. If you happen to come across something you like, feel free to pass it on to me.

Sincerely,

Jay Gardner
